Brownie ice cream cake is a delicious dessert that combines two beloved favorites: brownies and ice cream. It’s the perfect treat for anycelebration or just to satisfy a sweet craving.
1 quart of your favorite ice cream (vanilla, chocolate, or a combination works great!)
1/2 cup hot fudge sauce (optional for extra indulgence)
1/2 cup whipped cream (optional for topping)
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line your baking pan with parchment paper.
Make the brownie batter: In a medium saucepan, melt the butter. Once melted, remove from heat and whisk in both sugars until well combined. Add eggs, one at a time, and vanilla extract. Stir in cocoa powder, flour, salt, and chocolate chips.
Bake the brownies: Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan and spread it out evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs. Let it cool to room temperature.
Assemble the cake: Once the brownies have cooled, spread a layer of ice cream over the brownies. You can soften the ice cream slightly for easier spreading, but don’t let it melt completely. Place the cake back in the freezer to set for at least 3-4 hours or overnight.
Serve: Once set, remove the cake from the freezer, slice, and serve! You can drizzle hot fudge on top and garnish with whipped cream if desired.
